Now when you have the picture that you shot with your camera (or the image that you saved from our site) and the new, edited image that you made by your own you can compare both files size. Not edited file (especially if it is made with a high quality camera - 5-10 mega pixels) is too big to be uploaded to your web site or to be send to your friends by e-mail. It will take you too much time to be uploaded. If you are trying to send it by e-mail the limit of your mail box may not to be enough for this picture size and you will not able to upload the image at all. And what if you have more than one image for sending? Then it is not possible to attach all images at one time. But if you resize them they will never be the same - your friends / visitors will not be able to see the details that are really important sometimes.
